New Officials and GamJams.net…

Ok… so does this make for a computer technology post or a cycling post?  Seeing as this post is about a post at a cycling blog with a link to my site!  Anywhooo… I thought it was pretty cool that this little old site got some linking from one of the coolest cycling blogs around gamjams.net
On a cycling related note…. congratulations to all of the folks that made it through the Sunday officials training clinic and passed the test to become new officials.  Josh Goyet (aka: Firebike) and his wife are new members of the officials world. And go figure his wife did better than him on the test…. Josh look out next you know she’s going to be beating you on the road!  My little sister also joined the ranks of officials, as did JB.  I wonder if that means we’ll be seeing less of him on the side of the course shooting pictures?  Congrats again to everyone!

For all you new officials…. dont forget to sign up and accept the invitation to the VACA Officials Google Group and get your availability information in to “the boss”.

Stormyva’s blog – Vox

I am seriously considering killing this blog and only using the vox.com blog.  The Vox blog is on someone else’s server (so I dont have to worry about backups), I can instantly throw posts up with my Centro, and it’s powered by what my blog has been using.  Over the next few days there might be a redirect set up.

Here’s the link…..

And yet another 757 bike blogger…

There sure are a lot of area cyclists that also like to blog.  Today I came across Cyclochris’s site by way of Liz’s site.  I truly look forward to putting faces to a lot of these names come next season.
Chris had a good post about commuting and riding in the Norfolk area and a great map of some “bike safe” roads in Norfolk.  I wish I could have seen that map before doing the the couple of rides through Norfolk I’ve done in the past.  This is a link to the map on his site.
Liz’s site had a great idea, creating a new holiday called Cyclo on December 23rd.   Heck let’s take it further and create a whole new religion…. we can celebrate those special times of year for all of us cyclists:
The start of longer days and having the time to get daylight rides in after work.
Increasing temperatures that allow us to breathe without burning lungs and riding without ten layers of clothes.

The beginning of race season.
The closing of the race season.
And on that really special day Cyclo we can all exchange awesome cycling gifts.  My wishlist for that holiday this year is very short…. all I want is a new Felt B12.  Is that too much to ask? :)

Another Virginia Cyclist Blogger….

I have come across yet another cyclist from Virginia with a blog! It’s going to be kind of cool next season to put some faces to all of the names that I have come across online.
